This place has a wide variety of beer selections on tap,and most of them are really good local breweries. Alan, the bartender was very friendly and accommodating, and was a really good person to talk to after a rough day. The prices are decent, and the place has an overall chill feel. If you're ever in safety harbor hit this place up. You will be happy you did! !

Not a bad spot to grab a brew and play some Mrs. Packman. I didn't count the taps, but I think there were 25-30. Lots of bottles as well. I ordered a Weinhestaphan Octoberfest, delicious BTW, and chewed the fat with my main squeeze at the bar. It was a fine time, the prices were right and the bartender was friendly. Bearded as hell, but friendly. Will definitely stop in again next time I'm in SH.

Best craft beer bar in North Pinellas, good for watching games, playing pool or ping pong, or just hanging out. Great tap list split between local, national and international beers.

Checked the website and saw a few beers I like so took a walk down. First off the place smelled, chick playing ping pong barefoot and really bad hillbilly music. My first issue was that all the beers on website I spotted that drew me in, were out, and if you are a "tap room" and advertise a great beer selection, you may want to hire a bartender that is familiar with beer. I didn't actually even drink anything. The music, smell and yee hawing to the music inspired me to leave in a hurry.

If you find yourself thirsty - and on Main Street in the pleasant little town of downtown Safety Harbor - then do yourself a favor and stop in. This is the town's best craft beer bar, by a mile. The selection is always extensive. You're already a craft beer person, most likely, so you know what these beers are. But most of the bartenders could probably steer you right, if your only idea of beer is Bud Lite. Quite often, they have live music on Friday and Saturday. (Full disclosure: I've played here more than once, myself.) A lot of regulars probably shuttle across the street between here and the competing "8th Avenue Pub," since they have full liquor over there. You can kill two birds with one stone, and get an enjoyable experience out of it that way. The decor is understated and clean, as are the restrooms. There's a pool table out back that may even be free, not sure. No real food, to speak of, but I don't think they mind if you bring some in or have it delivered.

Copperheads tap house Sits in Safety Harbor on Main. A great neighborhood bar I'd happily visit again. They display all their beers On an electronic board. The night I was there The offered Nitro'd Good Gourd! They've got a great selection Craft beers both national and local. If you can't find something you like, You must be a yokel. There's a pool table in back And boards for darts. If you look on the wall, They sell interesting art. While they don't really have a menu They offer snacks and fish spread. So when you've had a few drinks It doesn't all go to your head! So I'll stop into copperheads Next time I'm around. You never know which microbrews Are going to be found!

This place was very interesting. We came here because we were told that they had a great selection of craft beer in which they did. The bartender was very nice letting my husband and I try some samples before we chose which beer to get. Some of the beers were flat or you could tell that the beers had been on tap for quite some time. This is in a small town of safety harbor and just a few of locals at the bar. The restrooms were surprisingly very clean and well taken care of. We were there for about an hour and a half at most and 3 kegs had blown but the bartender said they had kegs to change them out but was more focused on being outside hanging out with the regulars, however he was very nice and courteous and had knowledge of the different beers they had on draft. The bartender said they are dead on Fridays and Saturday nights which surprised me because there are only a few bars in this small town. They had a good selection of ping pong, pool, darts, pac man and some other games. I would say this is a dive craft bar for sure.

Great beer on tap!!! Great service!! Great local artist playing on the weekends. Always a great place to bring friends and family to hang out and enjoy great drafts! Week days are quieter if you want to get to know different beers I would suggest Tuesdays or Thursdays. The staff is knowledgeable and will help guide you to your perfect drink :)

The bartender with the dreadlocks has an amazing personality and great taste in music. I have never been to any bar where I felt more welcomed. The beers were top notch and we intend to return as often as possible.

Yes, it is surprising when you see it from the outside before you enter! Became a fan after I registered here for the Pajamas 5K and then did the post run party! Copperhead supported that race is a big way by providing all runners more that enough recovery food! My repected due their way and it counts use for me and my run friends. Wednesday nights, Safety Harbor Athletic Club does their run here! Great pour menu! Owner and staff most friendly. The atmosphere is just fine as it gives a laid back Suncoast dive vibe with no pretentiousness. I will probably be spending my Wednesday nights here for sure!

A nice addition to safety harbor. The beer list is great and the bartenders are knowledgable and friendly. The pool table is also a nice addition. I don't go out to safety harbor often, but this is a must stop if in the area.

Tara rocks the free world! We stopped into this little taphouse for some craft beer and had the distinct pleasure of meeting Tara (Bar Tender). Great atmosphere, fantastic staff, substantial beer menu - enjoyable all the way around. We will return, for sure! They aren't serving any food yet but you can bring some in.

Plenty of Taps and an awesome selection. The staff is really great. Good place to meet friends and drink craft beers. It's not fancy at all. Cool beer menu display. Located on Main Street in Safety Harbor.

Looks like just some shabby bar, but when you go in it's a very cool place. It has ping pong and a PacMan game for those who want to drink and move around a bit. It has nice tvs and about 30 beers on tap at any given time. They have a good selection of local beers and when asking the bartender about them, he really knew what he was talking about. He didn't care that I asked for "something kind of like a Bud Light or a bit richer, but not hoppy at all". He just found some for me to sample. It was a pretty quiet Saturday night there, but it was a place where locals frequent which is what I look for when visiting a new town. Good stuff

Awesome draft line up with reasonable prices, great music every Friday/Saturday. Knowledgable and friendly staff, patrons that all know each other and make it feel like home.

Copperhead's Taphouse is a cute little place, tucked away in the heart of Safety Harbor. It's a great place to watch sports...IF you are not hungry. It is a fully stocked bar. Any drink you want, you get it and delivered with a smile. Never any shortage of sports fans in here. The bar is a bit on the "dive" side, but not in a dirty way. It's just a little hole in the wall with a set of loyal "regulars" who go there for the drinks, the camaraderie and to share in some rowdiness. As far as food goes though? None, save for some packaged snacks like chips or popcorn. There are some beer nuts and peanuts on the bar if you are not the germaphobe I am, for you to partake in. I have this thing with people sticking their hands into a bowl of food that I am about to put in my mouth. If I didn't physically see you sanitize your hands before digging in, rest assured, that bowl is all yours. I won't be enjoying it with you. They do, however, have a large array of food menus of places in the area that deliver food and you are welcome to order whatever you want and have it delivered to you in the bar. Me, personally? I'd rather have my food there and be able to either make choices from the place where I am sitting or have the ability to eat more if I want without having to order again. That's just kind of silly. But, if you are just looking for a place to watch the game, or a local watering hole for the sole intent of having some drinks, Copperhead's fits the bill. I am giving it three stars for the lack of food and because they only have a couple of television sets. For me to appreciate a bar as a sports bar...you need to have at least four or five tv's at various spots all around the bar. The two they have are located DIRECTLY over the bar area and cannot be viewed from everywhere in the place. You have to congregate around the bar in order to watch. Not bad if that's what you're into...but as I am not a drinker, it's just not my thing. From what I gathered, they do have an extraordinary array of beers, both domestic and international, that rival the likes of the Ale Houses and the World of Beer type places that litter the area. There is a large pool table as well, if you are into shooting a game with friends. There is a small patio area out front with seating in nice weather, but not much of a view other than the main street or the laundromat and convenience store it is seated alongside. The inside is deceivingly large though. I believe they have music, dancing, a DJ and live music on Friday and Saturday nights from what I gathered from all the posters slapped all over the walls and front door. Not much in the way of decor, save for a wall of dollar bills with funny sayings written on them from the regular customers from when they first opened. They are a relatively new place though, only open since July (I think) and of course, there is always room for growth.

Walking up to this place, I kept thinking I wanted to turn right around. Next to a foodmart and just not very hip looking. But what lured me in was a band who sounded amazing. We walked in and were instantly dancing. Great music, great crowd an outstanding beer menu. I ordered a few beers for my friends and a wine for myself. First wine was perfect. Second I ordered, the bartender came over and noticed there was still lipstick on the glass. I have been to bars where they pour the drink into a new glass. Instead, he grabbed a new glass, made sure it was spotless and poured me a new large glass of wine. So even tho it's a small bar, I thought that was the right thing to do without me asking. You would think this is common sense but in a lot of places, it's not. It's not the closest place to me but when I am back over in that area, I would absolutely return.

I came with friends Saturday night and was rewarded with an awesome evening. We had park down the street near the hotel and Starbucks because we were picking up a box of pizza because a friend hadn't had dinner yet. Apparently Copperhead did not have a food on their menu but however you could bring food there to eat. We had decided to walk from there to Copperhead since it was a nice night, which was about less than 1/4 mile (less than 10 mins). On the way we passed by several other bar places, however all their music (including live music) were only so-so, and did not have many people.. I had wondered if it was always pretty dead in Safety Harbor, but then I realized that everyone was at Copperhead instead! This place had a much better live band playing too. That night The New Rulers were there playing traditional ska rocksteady music, which was quite awesome! They have a selection about 30 beers on tap, clearly displayed on a large TV screen at the bar. There were several other TV with sports on and one had SNL on. There was a pool table and darts in the back. There's also a outside patio in the front for smokers I gather. Staffers and customers there were all very friendly. Everyone seems to be having a great time whether drinking or even just enjoying the music! PS it's located in the same lot as the convenience store.

don't judge a book by it's cover rings true because once inside this bar it was spacious, casual and inviting, and clean. great beer selection and nice bartender. they just need some kind of snack for guests so they can drink more! we'll be back. also, it was located an e-z walk to other places

I've only been here for a Wednesday night run with the Safety Harbor Athletic Club and FL Race Place Team. This groups meets each Wed night at 6pm to do a group run around Safety Harbor and the meets back at Copperhead's for Beer and Snacks. This establishment has welcomed a bunch of sweaty runners, so its gets an extra star from me. The beer selection is vast, but they are missing some popular wheat beers which I was surprised. I'm pretty particular in having a good wheat beer, so maybe its just me. I haven't tried the food. They have 2 bartenders on site so it was difficult for them to get the all the runners who rushed in at one time, but that's more on us, then them.

Here from out of town and was looking for a place with a decent beer list. Copperhead's delivered with an impressive selection. Both bartenders were not only knowledgeable about beer, but very friendly and personable. If I were a local, I would no doubt be a regular at this bar.

Had heard there was a good Craft Beer Bar in Safety Harbor so me and the B-I-L went looking for it while in Downtown Safety Harbor...even though we had the correct address we walked by it 3 or 4 times cause it was so non-descript...finally I spotted a Beer Sign in a window and said well this has to be it...my First Impression was this has to be a sick joke someone is playing on us...are you kidding me a Craft Beer Bar is in a Double Wide attached to a run-down Laundromat and Convenience Store?...second thought was I have seen this Convenience Store somewhere before...oh yeah..this is where Jay and Silent Bob hung out in front of dancing and beat boxing while their Buddy Olaf sang his smash hit Bezerker on the way to becoming the first Russian Rock Star..we looked at each other and I said "let's go in cause I'm not even supposed to be here today"..walked in the door and it was surprisingly large inside..stretched back a lot further than it looked from the street..had several tables..a long bar..some TV'S and Pool...they have about 30 Taps with the selections conveniently listed on the TV Screens over the bar with some information describing each beer...a nice touch that I am surprised more places don't employ because it answers a lot of questions customers would normally ask the Bartenders taking up their time and it makes it really easy for the Bar to update what's on Tap when they change a Keg...Tap Choices were good not great; but I appreciated they were giving several of the Draft Lines to Florida Craft Brewers..Bartenders were nice and knowledgable and we had actually heard about this place from one of The Bartenders who also works at PHHOB...definitely worth a stop if you are wandering the streets of the laid back town of Safety Harbor..just look for Jay,Silent Bob and Olaf and you have found the right place

Another new bar in Safety Harbor! Yay! If you blink, you might miss Copperhead's Taphouse, tucked in next to a laundromat and a convenience store. Inside, it's surprisingly large. The interior is industrial, but with lots of attention to the details. Comfortable seating awaits at the bar or at the tables. There's a pool table for the gamers and a large tv screen that scrolls through all the beers on tap. Most beers appeared to be American craft beers. I wasn't familiar with most of them, so the bartender offered a sample based on my beer preferences. I saw him helping several other people make selections, too. Copperhead's also features a small outdoor patio for smokers. All in all, a great addition to the area!

My brother and I are both fans of Bell's Brewery so, when the bartender told us that Thursday April 18 would be Bell's night with a brewery rep on hand from seven to nine providing special prices, we cofirmed the promotion on Copperheads web page and arrived promptly at seven. No specials, no brewery rep. The bartender told us the rep was a bit late checking into her hotel. We stayed for an hour drinking a couple Bell's Porters and a Hopslam at $6.50 each. Worth it but certainly not a special price. At 8PM, still no rep or specials so we left. The next day, I sent a note to Copperheads through the "contact us" feature on the web page to find out what happened. It's been 12 days and no response. Both times we have been there, the service was excellent and the beer selection pretty good. That doesn't make up for the false advertising and unresponsive management.

Great place. Stephanie our bartender has a great knowledge of beer. Pretty much as good as it gets in a super non pretentious place. 30 taps, free pool.
